Baking la pulak...simple choc cake

Alahai...since I dah start masak-masak semula ni, my kiddos dah start request for me to cook this and that..so lets hit the kitchen while the mood is still hot and not suam suam kuku...

Hari ni Idin minta chocolate cake. A few times when we go out for groceries, he kept on pointing to Pilsbury cake mix for me to bake him a cake. No Pilsbury today honeybunch but lets try  a cake recipe..

Classic Chocolate cake

55 g cocoa powder
7 tbsp boiling water
200g butter/margarine  softened plus extra for greasing
125 g caster sugar
70g light brown sugar
4 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract/essence
200g self raising flour ( self raising flour substitution- 2 teaspoon of baking powder to each cup (150g) of multipurpose flour/plain flour)

Frosting

200g cooking chocolate
115 g unsalted butter
100 ml/ 3.5 fl oz double cream

Pre-heat oven 180c

Mix cocoa powder butter & water to smooth paste- set aside.
Put butter/margarine caster sugar, brown sugar- beat until pale& creamy and add in eggs  one at a time then add in vanilla extract/essence then add in cocoa paste.

Masukkan tepung, fold gently and pour in the mixture in cake tin and bake in pre heat oven for 35 mins or risen and springy to touch.

Nak buat frosting- letak chocolate& and butter dalam periuk atas satu lagi periuk atau saucepan of simmering water dan panaskan hingga chocolate&butter cair- (cooking chocolate Nona pun ok jer, nak makan sendiri..) Alihkan dari api dan masukkan cream.Leave to cool the chill in refrigerator for 30-450mn, kacau sekali sekalan until thick enough to spread..

Yummeh ..cake habis dalam sekelip mata!!tak sampai 1/2 jam pun....
